About the University of Tartu

The University of Tartu (Tartu Ülikool, UTARTU) is Estonia’s largest and oldest university, founded in 1631. We are Estonia’s national university and the centre of the country’s academic spirit. More than 14,000 students study at the university and we have over 3,500 employees. Within University of Tartu, the Institute of Clinical Medicine and the Institute of Genomics will contribute to realising the objective of PredictAYA.

Contribution to PredictAYA

UTARTU is responsible for WP3 in collaboration with Linköping University and Karolinska Institutet. Our major focus will be developing prediction models for late toxicity or long-term effects. At the start of WP where the patient cohort-derived data will not yet be available, we will conduct in vitro experiments to provide evidence for the base behind known and emerging markers linked to late effects of reproductive toxicity.
