The School of Medicine at the University of Leeds, based in the UK, has a global reputation for academic excellence, world-class research and technology-enhanced learning. The School brings together cancer scientists and clinicians to focus on excellence in epidemiology, genetics, genomics, cell biology of disease, haematology and immunology, gastroenterology, surgery, pathology and the use and integration of big data sets into these problems. Within the School, child and young adult research has been brought together within the Child Health Outcomes Research at Leeds team (CHORAL). It focuses on key areas where research can improve outcomes in young people such as children’s cancer translational research, improving childhood wellbeing and transforming outcomes through data linkage. For more information about our child and young adult health research activities, see CHORAL.
The University of Leeds contributes to PredictAYA through WP2 – the epidemiology of late effects on European cohorts, WP3 – pharmacogenetic modelling, and WP8 through statistical analysis support.
