Founded in 1928, the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (INT) is a premier oncology center, integrating advanced diagnostics, personalized therapies, and innovative translational research from laboratory to bedside and back. It leads national and international observational and clinical studies, ensures patient access to cutting-edge treatments, and promotes a holistic approach to cancer care and prevention.
INT will mainly contribute to WP2 in two ways: i) By assessing the burden of AYA cancers in terms of incidence, survival, and trends over time, using data from the EUROCARE project; ii) By studying the late effects of cancer treatments on fertility and organ toxicities in a nationwide, population-based cohort of AYA cancer survivors. It will also lead T2.4, which focuses on epidemiological studies on the safety and efficacy of fertility preservation in AYAs.
