Predicting and preventing late effects in adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors

Predicting risk and protecting health for cancer survivors

PredictAYA empowers personalised cancer care by uncovering how treatments affect fertility and other long-term health outcomes in adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors 15-39 years of age.

Through cutting-edge research in genetics, epidemiology, and precision medicine, the project aims to predict, prevent, and reduce late effects in AYA cancer survivors — improving life after diagnosis.

Bridging Disciplines to Advance Survivorship Care

At the heart of PredictAYA is a collaborative effort between specialists in oncology, reproductive medicine, genetics, and data science.

This interdisciplinary approach fosters innovation and facilitates the development of new tools to better understand and address the long-term effects of cancer treatment.

Partnering for Greater Impact

Our team builds on and collaborates with other EU-funded AYA cancer care initiatives, such as STRONG-AYA, EU-CAYAS-NET, and JANE-2.

As part of the EU Cancer Mission Cluster “Quality of life (AYA)”, PredictAYA seeks synergies and organises joint activities with other cluster projects to improve quality of life and long-term outcomes for AYA cancer survivors across Europe.
